Marital Dissolution - Divorce - Separate and Community Property Valuations and Appraisals
When a marriage has come to an end, there will be many questions that must be answered. From determining the value of real property, to appraising separate and community property, BEACo has five decades of experience in providing accurate appraisals that are defensible in court, and acceptable to the IRS. Settlement agreements resulting from a dissolution of marriage can rarely be reached without an accurate analysis and reporting of the value of mutual assets, including residential or commercial property. In Orange, Los Angeles and Ventura counties, you may count on the objective expertise of the appraisers at BEACo to provide you with an honest appraisal of community and separate properties.
On two occasions, valuations prepared by our firm were affirmed by the California Court of Appeal. One case involved a dissolution of marriage matter, affirmed as to approach and opinion by the California Court of Appeal (Marriage of Hilliard, 2nd Civ.No. 52898, unpublished). Superior Court Case No. D 858 256. The other matter involved a corporate dissolution under Section 2000 of the California Corporations Code which was affirmed as to approach and opinion of value in Abrams vs. Abrams-Rubiloff & Co. 114 Cal. App. 3d 240, 170 Cal. Rptr. 656 (1980).
